She's our Stylist
Gabe and Gavin went to the SALON this time for their haircuts. They loved meeting Ms. Sarah who does Mommy's hair and sitting in "the chair that made them tall". They both wanted mohawks and gel and neither of them was afraid of the noisy clippers. They thought that the man getting foil highlights in his hair and sitting under the hood dryer was hysterical. Sarah did a great job and they wanted to pay all by themselves and have a posed photo at the end. They even told her to "put one knee down" like they had theirs.
Even though it wasn't a FIRST haircut for either of the boys, they sure did have FUN at the salon!<

Big squeeze
I dunno how many more shots we can get like this one, but I hope they never stop loving each other as much as they do right now! These boys are so sweet to each other and really try to do the right thing (most of the time)! It just melts me when they give each other big squeezes like this and for once I had my camera handy!

Playing in the Rain
If you haven't heard, Atlanta is apparently the epicenter for the second coming of Noah. It has been raining here for about eight days solid, and there is no end in sight. Which means that there have been lots of inside activities of late.
However, with boys, outside time is sometimes needed....even if you have to get wet to have it. I present Exhibit A:

Beatles Rock Band
Last week a new Rock Band game came out: The Beatles. This is relevant because the boys love playing with the Rock Band instruments, and because they love singing Beatles songs (current favorite is "Yellow Submarine").
So one of the things we did this past weekend was break out the instruments, set the game into "no fail" mode, and started playing. Both of the boys got into it, trading between guitar and drums and playing through "Yellow Submarine", "All You Need is Love", "Hello Goodbye" and "Sgt Pepper". A few times each.
They don't really play as much as have fun looking like they are playing, but that diminish the fun one whit. Plus, it is great to see how much they love such great music. Gavin sings "Yellow Submarine" at random times and Gabe keeps singing verses from "A Little Help From
My Friends".
I'll try to get them singing on video soon.

Little monkeys
If it hasn't been said before, these boys like climbing on stuff. Big time. Up until now, it has been approved stuff (like playgrounds) or little unapproved stuff (like furniture).
Now they have discovered low hanging branches. They want to climb up a little way into the trees and hang upside down like monkeys. Based on my success at stopping their climbing to this point, I don't think I am going to be able to discourage this, so perhaps I should work on
teaching them to land instead of fall.
