Picking up the check

Gabe's been writing every chance he gets. Give him a pen and some space and he will write every word that comes to mind. He favorite word to write is his own name. So the last time we went out to eat, he asked if he could sign the check.

Of course I had to let him. Only twelve years until he can get a job and pay as well...

First song

Gavin's very first song was probably Twinkle Twinkle Little Star but he has quickly picked up the ABC song since Gabe sings it often and it carries the same melody as Twinkle Twinkle. This was taken in mid-February, but the video is of him singing as we prepare to read books before bedtime. Enjoy!

Chalk outlines

Over the weekend, the weather was beautiful, so the boys wanted to draw with sidewalk chalk.

Now, normally, drawing with sidewalk chalk involves drawing basic shapes, writing letters or words, etc. Well, today I had the boys lay down and I traced their outlines. Then they would decoate their own outline by drawing faces, fingers, patterns, whatever. It was a lot of fun for them and leads me to believe I need to get better at drawing...and fast.

300

Last weekend was Gabe's fourth birthday party, which was a bowling party. Overall, there were about twenty kids in attendance, which made for a crazy fun time. Most of them had never been bowling before, so it was a new experience for them and their parents.

They had pizza for lunch, cake was served, and Gabe made out like a bandit on the gifts. All in all, it was a rousing success.
