Meatballs

Apparently, we are real "foodies" lately. Gabe tries chopsticks and Gavin forks a meatball! Maybe we're just demonstrative of true toddler independence!!!

Chicken Pickee Upee

Gabe recently attempted his first pair of real chopsticks without the rubberband helper for kids. He was really intent to do it without help from anyone or his other hand. He actually did pick up the chicken and some of his rice. Quite a talent!

Color bug

After dinner, it is quiet time while Daddy watches football. So Gabe chooses to watch football with me, but Gavin wanted to color.

A little nervous about where he might choose to color, but so far he has kept it on the paper.

Whew...

Jumpin' at Joe's

These boys love running and jumping. So, the perfect place is someplace like Monkey Joe's on a Sunday morning. The place is deserted, they work up an appetite, they get worn out for naps, and (best of all) they have a blast.

I am kind of amazed by how well Gavin jumps. I'm going to have to go back and look at the pictures from when Gabe was this age, because I don't remember him being this good at jumping around.

Talking at 2 and 2

Well, we've all been waiting for little GavittyGav to come out with sentences and he's off to a great start! He is 2yrs old and 2 months and he's talking away. If he could get another word in edge-wise, I'm sure he'd have more to say, but Gabe talks all the time and finishes thoughts for him.

Gavin wants to say so much and he knows exactly what we are all saying to him and asking of him. When we don't get it, he just keeps shaking his head and saying MO until we guess right. :) Gabe carries on mini-conversations with him all the time. Gavin tries so hard, but here are the things we can actually understand him to say, consistently:

Gabe
Mommy
Daddy
Hi or hey
Bye Bye
Me
Mine - Quite popular for a two yr old!
MO!- for NO!
unh hunh - for yes
Kay - for ok
Elmo - A big fave
eat
banana
apple
bubbles
milk
tea
need... (as in "I need__")
night night
bath time - which doesn't sound too much like bath time, but he knows what he means
teeth
mouth
poo poo
pee pee
yay!
eight - his favorite number
school

Wow, that's 27 words! We're SO proud of that little guy. Stay tuned for more to come...I know it will be real soon and we won't even remember the days of pointing and MO!
