Recent Check-Ups

Since we've all been sick with this awful stomach virus, and in addition to the fact that we have 2 kids under the age of 2, it seems we've practically lived at the pediatrician's office. The nurses are probably sick of me. Gabe can now say "doctor" and recognizes the office building, if that tells you anything.Besides that, Gabe and Gavin have both had their 'well baby' check ups this month...Gavin for passing the 9 month milestone and Gabe for passing his 2nd birthday (this was the first opportunity we had since Feb to get him in).

Gavin is 29 inches long and weighs 18 lbs, 4 ozs. He is doing quite well, developmentally, with crawling, pulling up to stand, and generally cruising along. He is also saying Da Da now and is about to cut his 8th tooth (that sounds like alot, but when they are coming in 2 at the time, it's not all that bad). He's a real trooper and does new things most every day. He does his best to keep up with Gabe. I'm sure in the next 3 months or so when he starts walking, it'll be a whole new ballgame for all of us!

Gabriel is 37 inches tall and weighs 32 lbs, 4 ozs. He is also doing well developmentally and continues to hang in the 95th %-ile across the board (he has since birth!) He is saying his ABC's and identifying all of the letters both upper- and lower-case. He can count and identify numbers 1-20 and knows all of his shapes and colors too. He just loves learning new things. In the past month or so we have noticed he is really comprehending ALOT more and is attempting to put 3-4 word sentences together to make sense to us more and more. It's so amazing to watch him grow and learn. He helps with Gavin and tells us when "brother's crying". He can brush his teeth by himself and as you may have heard, we're beginning the potty training journey, so wish us luck!
